This is how a voter can check his registration in Pakistan

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken a step forward to facilitate the voters for the 2018 General Elections. It has launched a short SMS service through which the voters can check their registration and other information related to their polling station.

Citizens can SMS their National Identity Card (CNIC) number (without dashes) to 8300 and the registered voters will receive a reply with their particulars. The reply message will contain the information containing their name, city, village, district or tehsil and the electoral area. The message also includes a serial number of the vote registered in the initial electoral rolls.

Voter’s house number has been kept as a secret to ensure the confidentiality so that the information is not misused by any means.

Once the votes have been registered it is imperative to ensure that the information is entered correctly. Candidates should also report to ECP in case they find any discrepancies.

And in case if you are not registered then visit the nearby display centers or the District Election Commission office to get their votes registered by 30th April.
