Fortnite Mobile on Android has finally been announced. Samsung and Epic Games made it official today during the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. We reported on this about 2 weeks ago. Epic Games has announced that Fortnite Mobile for Android will be exclusive to Samsung Galaxy smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge, Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S9/S9+, Galaxy Tab S3, and Galaxy Tab S4. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Promo
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users won’t just get exclusive access to Fortnite Mobile. Epic will be giving away 15,000 V-Bucks (on top of the Galaxy skin shown below) to anyone who pre-orders the Galaxy Note 9, should you choose that pre-order option between August 10th and August 23rd. Fortnite is a free game, but in-app purchases can help you customize your character so you stand out from the crowd. You can unlock skins, dances, emotes, gliders, pickaxes, and much more. 15,000 V-Bucks will go a long way towards starting your collection.
Galaxy Skin for the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Tab S4
On top of the V-Bucks, Galaxy Note users will also have access to some exclusive skins. One such skin goes along with Samsung’s “Galaxy” theme. The skin is codenamed “Celestial” and it’s a male skin. Here’s what it looks like:
Upcoming “Galaxy” (codename “Celestial”) skin in Fortnite. Description: “Victory is written in the stars.” Only reason I’m posting is it could be the Galaxy Note 9 exclusive skin.

How to Install Fortnite Mobile on Samsung Galaxy
As previously mentioned, Fortnite for Android is not available through the Google Play Store. Epic doesn’t want to fork over 30% of all net profits. Instead, you’ll have to use the Galaxy Apps Store that is pre-installed on your Samsung device. It works essentially the same as the Play Store.
- Click this link to open the game in the Samsung Galaxy Apps store
- You can also go to the Epic Games website which directs you to to the Galaxy Apps store.
Starting August 12th, the game will be available for side-loading from Epic Games’ website for other devices.
