Here’s how you can fix the issue in simple steps:
*Step 1:* Open the chat of the blocked user who sent you a message
*Step 2:* Tap on the contact’s name and access the Contact Info
*Step 3: *Now scroll down and click on the “Unblock contact” option
*Step 4: *Now click on “Block contact” and block the contact once again.
As of now, it appears that the bug has been fixed for some devices. Hope WhatsApp fixes this bug pretty soon.
