After less than a year, Novak Djokovic and Andre Agassi have called time on their working relationship.

The American confirmed his time as part of the Serb’s team had come to an abrupt end, but in truth it never really felt as if it started.

In an injury-hit period – the most difficult of Djokovic’s remarkable career – the pair won just one title.

At the time, that sole victory in Eastbourne seemed to represent shoots of recovery for the 30-year-old – whose form had dipped dramatically after winning the 2016 French Open to hold all Grand Slam titles at once – but a long-term elbow injury perhaps ruined any genuine hopes of Djokovic and Agassi’s partnership truly blossoming.
