There have been 24,000 attempts to access porn from Parliament since last year’s election

Credit: PAToby Young faced pressure to quit the universities watchdog over an article where he admitted to being a ‘porn addict’ – but it turns out he’s not alone.

In fact, rather a lot of MPs and Lords seem to enjoy unwinding with a bit of hardcore online filth – as there were 24,000 attempts to access grot from Houses of Parliament computers since last year’s election.

The figure of 24,473 attempts represents around 160 requests per day on average – which is, in layman’s terms, a whole lot of masturbation.

The requests come from computers and other devices connected to the parliamentary network – which is used by MPs, peers and staff – between June and October last year.

The data, released after a Freedom of Information (FOI) request by the Press Association, shows a spike in attempts to visit the sites in September, with 9,467 requests from both the Houses of Lords and Commons… Read the full story
