The importance of Paul Pogba’s return for Manchester United should not be underestimated, says Phil Neville.
The French midfielder is back in contention having completed a three-match suspension for getting sent off against Arsenal earlier this month.
The suspension came quickly after an injury layoff for Pogba which appeared to have an effect on Manchester United’s form.
Neville says that not only does Pogba add much to the side, he makes other players around him better – notably Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
‘When I see Manchester United without Paul Pogba I see a team which goes from one who can swat away teams by three or four goals to one that’s workmanlike,’ Neville told Sky Sports.
