Severe disruption at London St Pancras expected to last throughout today

Commuters are being warned of delays and cancellations after a crack was found in a set of crossings outside a major London train station.

The fault was discovered just outside St Pancras international meaning a speed restriction has been put in place.

Network Rail said that urgent repairs are being made to the railway between the station and Stratford international meaning fewer trains would be running on all lines.

The company said: ‘To reduce the number of delayed services there will be a number of alterations to High Speed trains this morning.

‘High Speed trains to London St Pancras International which do run will likely be delayed around 5-10 minutes on the approach to London St Pancras International.’

They suggest using the DLR and London Underground instead as work continues to repair the damage.
