Galaxy S10 will be the first smartphone to have an all-screen display

Samsung is expected to launch three Galaxy S10 models early next year, suggests some new leaks. Alongside the successors to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, Samsung will also purportedly debut a new cheaper variant of the flagship. If the rumors are accurate, we should expect a pretty significant overhaul in the Galaxy S10 line-up that could see the adoption of new technologies, next-gen specs, and a futuristic design.

This latest revelation provides a very strong indication that Samsung’s flagship device will be the first major smartphone to come without any kind of bezel around its screen, with its face buttons hidden underneath. The most recent suggestion that Samsung is going to get rid of them came from its OLED Forum, held in China at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel in October. If it includes such innovations, the next Galaxy S10 would come without a bezel or a notch, giving it a visually impressive all-screen display.

According to a photograph released by popular leaker Ice Universe, Samsung will be introducing a range of under-the-screen technologies with its new smartphone, and possibly tablet devices. These include under-the-screen fingerprint scanners, as well as under-the-screen cameras and face sensors for FaceID security systems. If it includes such innovations, the next Galaxy S10 would come without a bezel or a notch, giving it a visually impressive all-screen display. Samsung hasn’t confirmed this yet, although previous leaks from June have also suggested a notch-less design. Similarly, Samsung Mobile’s DJ Koh said in September that fans should expect a “very significant” redesign for the S10.

Now, Ben Geskin, a famous concept designer, decided to show just how stunning the Samsung Galaxy S10 all-screen display would be. To do so, the Galaxy S10 design was put between its predecessor, the Galaxy S9, and Apple’s 2018 flagship, the iPhone Xs Max.

Previous reports indicated that Samsung would achieve the all-screen experience by using a sliding selfie camera but these recent leaks suggest that the device may be similar to the leaked concept designs. The smartphone is expected to launch in early 2019 and looks like Samsung is packing some surprises.
