It’s that time of the year when Google unveils its major hardware products including the next generation of Pixel-branded smartphones.
Not long ago, we saw Apple unveiling the much-hyped iPhone XS and XS Max models. A few weeks on and now, Google is all set to take on the spotlight at its big event due tomorrow at San Francisco. The Google Pixel event will not contain the Pixel smartphones only and instead will have a wide variety of products ranging from smart-speakers to laptops and tablet devices.
So, let’s take a look at what are to expect from tomorrow as the event takes off.
Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL:
The next-generation smartphones from Google have already been leaked very widely and reports have it that it is even being sold in Hong Kong. As far as the new Google Pixel smartphone is concerned, the smartphone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4 Gigs of RAM and an external memory option of either 64GB or 128GB. The smartphones would be wireless charging compatible. As far as the camera section on these smartphones is concerned, Google is planning to again go with a single lens approach as we saw with the last year’s Pixel.
Google Pixel Slate:
Google is also planning to unveil an iteration to the last year’s Pixel Chromebook. This year, Google is planning to rename its Chrome OS tablet device as Google Pixel Slate. The device will reportedly have a Core i7 processor, upto 16 Gigs of RAM and a detachable keyboard.
Google Pixelbook 2:
We will also be seeing a new Google Pixelbook device. Dubbed Google Pixelbook 2, the device would come with upgraded specifications. On a notable side, the Google Pixelbook 2 device would support display up to 4K. Nothing more to it, as of now.
Google Home Hub:
This year around, Google is also planning to roll-out a smartspeaker much similar to Amazon Echo. The device would contain a speaker for voice-based interactions along with a 7-inch speaker. Similar to any other smart home speaker device, the Google Home Hub will be able to take voice-based commands and respond to it. More information on it would follow as the device goes on show tomorrow. (hopefully)
No Pixel Smartwatch:
As far as the plans to roll out a dedicated smartwatch for its users is concerned, as of now, there are none. The tech giant has confirmed to the international media that we wouldn’t be seeing any new smartphone watch on the sets tomorrow.
So, these were the big product launches which are expected to go off tomorrow. Apart from these products, there would also be a few smaller launches going on. There is a slightly redesigned Chromecast too. The software side might also see some revamp. We, at TechJuice, would be doing a live coverage of the event – so, keep watching this space as we cover the launches for you.
