Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone will have a curved battery, speculations

Samsung’s first highly rumoured foldable flagship Galaxy X is not made official yet but still, the rumour mill is getting stronger with each passing day. Every now and then we get to hear about the features in the speculated Galaxy X. The recent addition to these rumours is that the Galaxy X will have a curved battery and its capacity will be somewhere between 3,000 mAh to 6,000 mAh. 6,000 mAh battery will be a dream battery capacity for power users.

The phone is expected to be rolled out in the first quarter of 2019 and is expected to be Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iPhone X. The foldable Galaxy X battery is developed by Samsung SDI. It is V-shaped and gives a kind of curving effect. The device is said to have three display panels, two on the inside and one residing on the outside. The outer display would reportedly be 4.5 inches in size while the inner two together would make a whole 7.3 inches screen upon unfolding the device.

However, don’t get excited just yet. Samsung Galaxy X won’t be anything near cheap. In fact, the smartphone is expected to be above $1,800, far more than the current high-end mobile phones. Also, do keep in mind that nothing is officially confirmed as of yet, so the price and the release date could possibly vary.

However, Samsung is not the only player, who is soon to conquer the smartphone market with the foldable phones. There are other smartphone giants who have joined the Samsung’s race such as Huawei, LG, Apple and Motorolla. Just last week, we reported to you that Microsoft is also planning to launch its foldable phone which can support up to 5 positions.
