Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may still at least four months away from launch but the rumor mill is not dependant on that, or is it? Since last year, we have been hearing about the inclusion of under display fingerprint scanner in next Galaxy Note but those rumors may have been spoiled by the famed tipster ICE Universe as it notes that it is now “almost certain” the Galaxy Note 9 will not have a fingerprint reader integrated into the display.
Rest assured, all renders must be taken with a grain of salt, if accurate, the leak indicates the Note 9 will look a lot like the Note 8. The render shows the Galaxy Note 9, codenamed Crown, looking a little broader, with a smaller bottom bezel. And the codename crown is not unfamiliar to us as well, a previous leak has affirmed that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is coming with a code name “Crown”.
It is almost certain that Note9 has no FOD

We are still not sure of the virtual fingerprint sensing on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. But in my view, I do not expect Samsung to equip the phablet with this feature. Why? The technology should not be ready for a smooth global rollout, as Samsung has higher standards than Chinese manufacturer Vivo. Further, the Korean tech giant likely hasn’t forgotten its Note 7 disaster. While under-the-display fingerprint sensing is unlikely to make the Note 9 go up in flames, a poor
performance from the feature will not fare well for Samsung.
Samsung was lazy in 2018 and I concluded that Note9 will not change much. This is just a small adjustment to Note8. pic.twitter.com/uNoAW1thcT

However, it must be noted that the render above resembles those for the Galaxy Note 8 so much that we’re suspicious about it being photoshopped. However, comparing against Note 8’s renders reveals that this image shows a slightly thinner bottom bezel and a wider device. But one thing is sure that these aren’t sufficient to advocate no salt for this leak.
Last year’s Galaxy Note 8 made its official debut on 23 August, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Galaxy Note 9 may follow a similar schedule.
