Apple’s iPhone X Plus to feature more powerful chipset to crush all Android phones in performance

The Cupertino giant Apple is known for making the most powerful and popular commercial smartphones in the world, so how does it happen?

Apple’s A11 Bionic chipset that powers Apple’s last year’s phones i.e. iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, is by far the most powerful chipset that outperforms all Android smartphones except for the newly launched OnePlus 6 and the Exynos 9810-powered Galaxy S9. A new report has surfaced and it claims that Apple is continuing its legacy with an upcoming huge size flagship proposedly iPhone X Plus which will be powered by upgraded A12 processors.

According to a Bloomberg‘s report, Apple’s chip manufacturing partner in Taiwan, TSMC has just begun manufacturing next-generation chipsets that will be featured in all three upcoming models of Apple. As Apple is expected to release three new iPhone models i.e. an iPhone X’s successor, an LCD-based cheaper model, and an up-size iPhone X Plus. The report says that Apple’s upcoming phone will boast A12 Bionic processors that will feature a 7-nanometre design.

All Android smartphones currently available in the market boasts a 10-nm chip design, whether it’s Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series or Huawei’s Hi-Silicon chips. Even Apple’s A11 chipset is based on the 10-nm design. Last month we reported that Samsung is working on its powerful 7-nm chips as well that will arrive in phones earlier next year. The new report claims that Apple’s 7-nm A12 Bionic chip is coming ahead of Samsung’s processor i.e. probably at next major iPhone launch event which usually happens in September.

The report also notes that Apple’s new 7-nanometer chip is expected to provide 40% greater power over the A11 chip. This small design chip will be more efficient than 10-nm chips as well.

Meanwhile, Apple is also expected to unveil its next operating system iOS 12 with major improvements at WWDC which is less than two weeks away. And as far as rumor mill goes, Apple may also launch a mid-range iPhone SE 2 on this event.
