YouTube legend Keyboard Cat – who found fame in a string of viral videos – has sadly died aged nine.
Bento – to give him his real name – was the replacement for original Keyboard Cat Fatso, who featured in the original YouTube video that went viral back in 2007.
News of his passing was confirmed by his owner Charlie Schmidt, who posted a tribute video to Bento as well as announcing his death on his official Facebook page.
The original Keyboard Cat was first filmed by his Schmidt in 1984, but it wasn’t until the footage was posted online – and subsequently picked up by blogger Brad O’Farrell – that he gained his loyal following.
