iPhone X, although, has been dubbed as the most advanced iPhone we have ever seen yet apparently consumers have not liked it as much as Apple was expecting. The sales of iPhone X have been reported to be dismal and in order to jump the sales back up, a rumor suggests, Apple is working on a new color variant.
The freshly baked rumor comes from a rumor site Macotakara. The report doesn’t explain or go into details it just reads that ‘for the purpose of restoring sales of iPhone X, Apple plans to release a new color.’ There is no information on which color that would be. iPhone X is right now available in two colors Space Grey and Silver. Like its predecessors, it can be expected to have a Gold, Rose, or Pitch Black color.
Another rumor suggests that Apple is working on a Red version of iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The red bold version is a head turner and after iPhone 7 launch in red, we have seen many Android developers joining the bandwagon and launching Red colored smartphones. The iPhone X was certainly the first iPhone in years to launch without a gold color option.
Apple only sells the premium flagship in Silver and Space Gray, while the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus both have Gold in addition to the other two colors. Looks like now Apple has finally listened to the users and will also include other color options in upcoming iPhones.
On the other hand, there have been multiple rumors suggesting that the future iPhones will be versions iPhone 11, iPhone 11S and there will be a big brother of iPhone X dubbed as iPhone X plus. These phones are expected to have a lower price tag with a comparatively big size. The 6.1-inch LCD iPhone would be generating most of the sales for Apple and it is expected to look very much like a Gold iPhone X and will include Face ID and slimmer bezels.
But how big dent a new color will put into the sales?
