Sony is trying to make a comeback in its smartphone series with a powerful and a completely redesigned flagship device set to be revealed next year.
Nicknamed H8216, the smartphone whose renders have recently gone viral on the internet is believed to be a successor to Xperia XZ1, the last year’s flagship from Sony. Hence being called the Sony Xperia XZ2 or Xperia XZ1S, the smartphone has been tipped to come with a minimal bezel design which is quite similar in design with the majority of flagship smartphones released this year.
As far as the internals of the leaked smartphone is concerned, the Sony Xperia XZ2 might come packed with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. 4 Gigs of RAM and 64 GBs of internal storage will complement the Snapdragon processor. The rear camera setup on this smartphone will sport two 12 megapixels sensors and there would be a single 15 megapixels lens on the front.
The smartphone will come with a 5.48 inches FHD display along with minimal bezels. Although we are not quite sure what width would the top and bottom bezels would come with, however, there have been a few leaks on this too. The image which came from Techie State shows that the smartphone will not have any bezels on three sides but there will be a thin metal strip on the top housing the speaker grill, cameras and lenses.
It is, however, worth mentioning here that the details presented here were aggregations of the believable leaks that we could found through different sources and nothing is certain before Sony launches this smartphone. The smartphone is expected to be launched either at the CES 2018 due held next month or at the MWC that will be held in February.
