Picture it: It’s 2014 and Guardians Of The Galaxy has just been released. Instead of Chris Pratt as the fast-talking cocky Star Lord though, it’s British actor Jim Sturgess in the role, taking the character in a completely different direction to the one audiences now know and love.
It’s hard to imagine but luckily for Sturgess there are no regrets.
In fact all he feels now when he considers how close he came to joining the biggest and most successful box office franchise of all time is ‘relief’.
‘It was an interesting process; there were a few of us up for it and I know I was down to the last few, two or three, and then when I watched it, it was really interesting to see how different our versions of the character would have been,’ he admits.
